It is with deep regret to have to inform you of the passing of Liam Kelly Founder Member & Former Director of Ballinasloe Credit Union. Liam’s association with the Credit Union in Ballinasloe goes back to its inception in 1967, he held the unique position of being the Credit Unions very first member.

He served as a Board Director from 1967 to 2017. Ballinasloe owes Liam a heartfelt thank you for his lifetime of credit union advocacy, He epitomised the true nature of Volunteerism which in turn benefited thousands of our members. The growth of Ballinasloe Credit Union would not have been possible without the voice of reason he always brought to every meeting. Nationally and Internationally he was one of the best known and respected figures in the credit union movement. All at Ballinasloe Credit Union send their deepest condolences to the Kelly Family and Liam’s friends and neighbours.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Liam, Oliver, Michael, Declan, Alan & Emer, at this difficult time.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Grenham’s Funeral Home, Ballinasloe (H53 HK15) on Monday, the 13th of January, from 5pm to 8pm.

Private Removal on Tuesday to Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Creagh, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Creagh Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request.
